On this sunny Saturday morning we take a ride North to West Palm Beach from the Deerfield Beach Amtrak Station.
The first train is the early arriving Amtrak 92, which meets the late arriving P667.
Amtrak #55 has an out of tune k5la and will be taken North to Washington d.c. and be brought back on the next day's 97which you will see in my 11/10/08 video.
Then P666 arrives and we board in the cabcar. As we ride Northbound, I point out several familiar structures, such as Palmetto Park Road, Glades Road overpass, Houston's Restaurant, and eventually the Boca Raton Station on Yamato Road.
There is some intense horn action after the quiet zone, thanks to the Conductor's open window. Watch Part 2 where we continue through Boynton Beach and Lake Worth and arrive into West Palm Beach.

Two trains are shown in this video. First is an Eastbound with a FURX SD40-2 on the point that sounds like the horn could use a little work. Second is a Westbound stack train with a pair of GE's. Both trains were recorded just West of Big Lake, MN on 10-19-08.
